What is an AHU

An air handling unit (AHU) is a device used to regulate and circulate air as part of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. The AHU draws in outside air, purifies it and then either heats or cools the air depending on the room requirements. This conditioned air is then supplied as fresh, clean air to the room.

AHU Maintenance

During operation, an air handling unit draws in huge amounts of outdoor pollutants including dirt and bacteria. This means that regular maintenance is essential to keep the unit working efficiently and safely.

AHU refurbishment

Air handling units are often large and difficult to remove and replace. Luckily, it is usually possible to refurbish your existing AHU.

If the performance of your AHU has started to deteriorate it is not always necessary to replace the unit. Many AHU components can be removed and replaced including fans, filters, heaters and cooling coils, dampers and burners.
In many cases, refurbishing an older AHU can be just as beneficial as installing a new one and will save you money.
